The REDD+ PAZcífico Sur Initiative is an eco-innovative project launched by CO2CERO SAS, targeting carbon reduction and sustainable forestry management across 18 community councils in Nariño's municipalities, including Barbacoas, El Charco, Roberto Payán, Magüí Payán, San Andrés de Tumaco, and Olaya Herrera. This strategic initiative is driven by the following objectives: Zero Carbon Emissions Reduction: Aiming to lower carbon emissions through proactive deforestation control and degradation prevention over 371,748 hectares, the project sets a 20-year goal for sustaining conservation efforts and bolstering carbon sequestration reserves. Sustainable Forest Management: Identifying and deploying eco-friendly practices that mitigate the escalation of deforestation, ensuring the protection and sustainable development of local ecosystems. Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Integrity: Ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations and socio-environmental frameworks to maintain the ecological balance and integrity of the region.
