49.5 MW Wind Power Project by FFCEL in Pakistan

FFCEL Wind Power project is located in Jhimpir, District Thatta, Sindh. Total installed capacity of the project is 49.5 MW consisting of 33 number of Nordex S77 1.5 MW wind turbines. It is Pakistan’s first grid connected wind power project to achieve Commercial Operations. This historic milestone was achieved on May 16, 2013. The project activity is expected to generate 143.6 GWh per annum from wind energy. It is country’s signature project and a major step forwrad towards achievement of self-sufficiency in energy production through renewable and indigenous resources.
