Eco-Friendly R-12 Refrigerant Recovery Initiative | ZERO Carbon One- Tradewater - Chile 1
In an era where environmental sustainability is paramount, ZERO Carbon One is proud to introduce our R-12 Refrigerant Recovery Initiative, a critical component of our eco-responsible programs. Dedicated to the collection and environmentally sound disposal of R-12 refrigerants, our initiative is a direct response to the urgent need for ozone layer preservation and climate protection. Cutting-Edge Destruction Facility Partnership For the execution of this project, ZERO Carbon One collaborates with Tradewater, which employs the facilities of A-Gas, renowned for their state-of-the-art plasma arc [Plascon] destruction unit. This unit specializes in the high-temperature incineration of hazardous wastes, including refrigerants, ensuring a 99.99% destruction efficiency and preventing any possibility of atmospheric contamination. Verified Environmental Performance The initiative has been thoroughly assessed and verified, meeting the American Carbon Registry's (ACR) stringent criteria within a materiality threshold of ±5%, underscoring our commitment to credible and significant greenhouse gas emission reductions. Sustainable Impact and Global Goals Alignment Our comprehensive project plan not only outlines the substantial positive environmental impacts of our activities but also ensures there are no adverse effects on local communities or ecosystems. We maintain complete environmental compliance, with Tradewater and A-Gas holding all necessary permits for operation. Furthermore, our efforts are in sync with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as: SDG #9: Driving innovation and sustainable industry through resilient infrastructure. SDG #12: Promoting responsible consumption and production to ensure eco-friendly practices. SDG #13: Encouraging decisive climate action to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change. Our R-12 Refrigerant Recovery Initiative is a shining example of ZERO Carbon One's commitment to advancing global sustainability, fostering environmental stewardship, and supporting the transition to a zero-carbon economy.
